Sweet Valley Takes Flight

Sweet Valley is the Archaeopteryx of Roastersaurus, now revealed as part of the new Slipwing class. Slipwings are boundary-breakers: experimental, disruptive, and impossible to pin down. Produced at Potosí farm in Valle del Cauca, Colombia, Sweet Valley embodies this spirit by blending different varieties grown on the farm, with the mix shifting from year to year. Every harvest is unique, a mystery blend that keeps even seasoned tasters on their toes.

 

About the Producer

Sweet Valley is crafted by Café Granja La Esperanza, one of the most celebrated producers in the world. Based in Valle del Cauca, CGLE is known for creating competition-winning coffees, pioneering new varieties, and innovating with post-harvest processing. From introducing Geisha to Colombia, to developing unique varietals like Mandela and CGLE17, their work has redefined what Colombian coffee can be. Sweet Valley is part of this spirit of innovation, created to highlight fruit intensity, sweetness, and playful energy.

 

About the Coffee

Sweet Valley is produced as a natural at 1,499–1,800 masl under warm days and cool nights. The farm cultivates Caturra, Colombia, Mandela, and other experimental varieties, which are combined after processing to create the Sweet Valley profile. The aim is consistency in vibrancy and candy-like sweetness while letting the individuality of each harvest shine.

 

The name reflects both its origin in Valle del Cauca, one of Colombia’s great valleys, and its cup character: candy-sweet fruits, chocolate, and florals.

 

The Process

As a natural, whole cherries are fermented and dried under controlled conditions at Potosí. The unique climate, with warm days and cool nights, lends structure and clarity while highlighting fruit intensity. By blending varieties post-harvest, Sweet Valley achieves a profile that is vivid and layered, with an energy that feels experimental by design.
